As they change into these lovely young adults so too does their temperament develop, and this of course is greatly helped by you the new owner. The next stage in their training is to enrol them in a really good puppy class where they can get used to other dogs of varying size. A German Shepherd of the same age must be quite daunting to a little Westie at first, but under controlled conditions they could become the greatest of friends etc etc. In writing this I feel almost envious of my pups’ new owners because the pleasure I have in bringing them into the world and rearing them only lasts for nine weeks but your pleasure will be with you for many years to come. Life with a Westie is never dull. Have fun and above all Enjoy them, Angela |
